    Dead Runners

    I planted runner bean plants about two weeks ago and noticed a few days ago that they were looking unwell, leaves turning yellow. This morning they have all shrivelled and dried up despite being watered well. Any ideas as to why?

    I have some spares in the greenhouse and will plant them in a different part of my plot.

    did you plant seedlings, or sow seeds?

    I'm guessing seedlings (you say you have spares), so did you harden them off?

      Yes, they were hardened off, I can only describe them as looking as if they are diseased or have sprayed with weedkiller.

          My first Frenchies turned yellow soon after planting out - because they got cold (I planted them too early 'just to see')
