  • Dancing with Smurfs - Colour Question

Tomato I initially saved the seeds from was all black.

The fruits on the ones I and the next door neighbour grow are black & red, I gave a plant to another person, further away, same area, and the fruit are all black.

Any ideas as to why this is?

    TIA

The red appears on areas that aren't directly in the sun, so if the tomato is shaded, even by its own leaves it will have more red areas. Also dancing with smurfs isn't that stable so you may have plants that have differences.

I agree with Scarlet. I grew these last year and they were patchy, red and black.
They also took a very long time to ripen and the skins were quite tough,
Hope they do well for you Deano.
