  • Cucumber plant problem

I transplanted some cucumber plants growing in pots to the greenhouse border recently but the leaves have started to turn yellow and brown.

The soil had been manured last Autumn and more manure was incorporated when transplanting.

They've been well watered (every other day), fed weekly and given a seaweed tonic to no avail.

    I've attached some photographs.

Thanks in advance for any diagnosis and / or advice

Transplant shock?? Plus if the manure was too fresh it could have burnt the roots. Have they been overwatered?

For a minute I thought those were my cucumber plants...

I got one fat 3" cuke out of 5 plants. The other 4 wouldn't even qualify as a gherkin.

I'd say that's a bacterial leaf spot of some kind. Probably too late to spray but you could
try and hope it will help. I have a similar thing and wish I had started spraying sooner.

In the second picture, the leaf is covered in cobwebs, which could well be red spider mite, are there any signs of eggs or tiny spiders underneath the leaves? The leaves will end up looking like this if it is a bad case.

By the way, how long ago was the plant transplanted?
