  • Crystal Apple Cue - when to harvest?

    Hi All

I have a rather large cue on the plant that is about 4inches long by 3inches wide. Its not turned round and yellowed off yet like the pictures usually show. Thing is dont want to leave it and it goes rotten so when do people usually pick theirs?

Hi there I am growing this for the first time this year.

Perhaps we can share our progress and tips etc.

    Regards

I'm growing this type of cucumber as well but my plants are still quite small.

Am not growing them this year but have done many times in the past and have found that they form pretty spherical and a sort of pale green colour. They're nicest when small and before the skins toughen. When they go the deeper yellow colour the skins aren't very nice and I prefer to put them in stir fries rather than eat them raw. Usually picked them about 3"ish across.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
