  • Cobra French beans- leaves curling up

    Hello,

The young top leaves of my Cobra French bean leaves are curling up and have a dried out feel and look to them. They aren't showing any ambition when it comes to climbing either, rather they are sulking towards the lower half of their poles. The beans grow in a large container and the plants have both beans and flowers. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

    Many thanks.

More water? Have you got any photos, how many have you got per container and how large is it?

Thank you. Sorry, my camera is out of action. I don't think they have been under watered, if anything then I may have over watered them a week or so ago. It's a large self watering container from Lidl (much bigger than flower buckets) with 4 plants growing up bamboo poles. I did grow mizuna in the pot while the beans where still small but have been feeding liquid feed.

Without a pic it's difficult to tell. Dried out leaves sound like lack of water and beans are a thirsty crop, have you let them dry out and the sun has crisped the wilting leaves? I know you said you may have overwatered but dried leaves don't sound like an overwatering problem.
