Yesterday we went down to the allotment and although slightly wet (on clay soil here), the soil was diggable so have now planted some Garlic which is of the hardneck kind. However it has now got me thinking as the soil is wet and possibly cold should I be cloching the garlic now? I just don't want them to rot away! Thanks for answers in advance
