  • cloche hoops

Many years ago, in a previous gardening incarnation, I remember making cloches from corrugated plastic sheets which were bent and inserted through steel hoops which were inserted into the ground. The hoops had a horizontal stretcher near the bottom to keep them stable. Does anyone know if these hoops are still available anywhere. I've seen plenty of alternatives, usually at rip-off prices which I'm not prepared to pay.

What you could do is just stretch electrical cord or string over the top pegged down at each side?

Thanks for the tips. I've looked at such options but I really would have liked to get hold of some of these hoops as they were so neat. Ah well, as I'm a Robinson I'm sure one of my ancestors must have been a Heath cos I can usually come up with something
