  • Clamping in sawdust

    Hello,

We have large bales of dust extracted sawdust that we use for our animals, and I was wondering if this could be used to clamp roots in? I've seen it done with sand and straw before but wondered if anyone had any experience with sawdust?

    Thanks

The sand and straw are just used for insulation so there's no reason why sawdust wouldn't work equally as well. Nothing ventured etc.

I guess the only thing to be wary of is moisture / humidity, sand for clamps needs to be slightly damp, not that I've ever had enough of a glut to go clamping......
