  • Christmas drumhead cabbge

I am just wondering has all the seed companies stopped selling christmas drumhead cabbage seeds?

I cannot seem to find any and when I do they are sold out.

I've just had a bit of a gooooogleing session ( mainly because I wanted to know what it looked like ).
Currently unavailable is a definite theme!
Any chance it could be going through a name change?
Or maybe a celebrity chef has mentioned it and it's now the must have veg?
Or I'm clutching at straws and haven't got a clue......sorry.

I've seen that a lot of varieties are unavailable at this time of year because all the 2017 seed stock is sold out and the new seeds for 2018 haven't come in yet. It's also not the right time of year for sowing most things. You'll probably be able to get it more easily in late winter or spring.

Thanks VC. I went and bought them and then gets a email saying they have not used that site in several years and that they have a new website.

I grow it a couple of years ago in my parents back garden. Grew really well and was nice to eat. Now that i have a allotment i wanted to grow it again.

Apparently it should have been sown in April/May so maybe they've sold out and haven't restocked for next year.
