  • Choi Sum

Does anyone know the English name for this? It's a Chinese one, with thick juicy stems and little yellow flowers. Haven't seen it named as Choi Sum in any catalogues, but would love to grow it - reminds me of home (Hong Kong)

Never heard of it! Was curious so I googled it
Chinese flowering cabbage seems to be the main English name?

Cherry Farms - Products - Choi Sum
asian ingredients choy sum - chinese flowering cabbage
    White Choy Sum
    Cook's Thesaurus: Cabbages
Chinese cabbage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.

Thanks Demeter - don't know why I didn't think to google it! It is really delicous stir-fried with garlic, or with oyster sauce. They don't serve it on Chinese restaurants over here - or they do, but only to the staff! I will get some seeds for next year.
