  • Chillis outside yet?

    Hi all

Got a loaf of chillis growing Under grow lights indoors , when can I start taking them outside for the day into my unheated greenhouse? If I bring them in at night is it warm enough in the day now? Or are they better off staying under my lights for now?

    I live in SE England.

    Thanks!

You can put them out during the day as long as it is not to cold. But make sure you bring them in at night. We are due
    some cold weather this week.

Mine are out during the day, back in at night. Next few days may be tricky though. As it is going to be so cold overnight it may take a while for the greenhouse to warm up in the morning. They may not be able to go out early, if you are going to work.
I'm retired so I can wait 'til it warms up.

Hi, mine have been in the greenhouse 24/7 for last 2 weeks. They are still fairly small - maybe 2inches high? My greenhouse is unheated but in a very sheltered spot and I monitor min / max temps, lowest has been 6C.
Anway I haven't managed to kill them yet! I'm in S Wales.
