Chilli's Drooping???

    Chilli's Drooping???

    Hi Team...

    I have several chilli plants...several have set fruit....other are about 6" hi in pots....i've had them on the windows sill....on hot days i take them outside and put them round the veg beds....after a while the leaves wilt/ droop.....it cant be that hot can it? or is it not hot enough? Having said that i've tried them in the top of the small green house and they've drooped there.

    any help? is it just a matter of aclimatising?

    It could be a combination of sun and a breeze - wind can be very drying too especially to plants that aren't used to it.

      What size pots are they in? Is it possible they could be drying out?

        i think its the hot wind...had a chat with a lad at the garden centre (who knows everything - great chap)....im gonna leave my chilli's out now i think over night....

          Maybe they were raised a bit soft in the greenhouse like mine. I was talking to my Dr about the droop, and he recommended Viagra hor hor

            Mine took a few days to acclimatise when they first went outside.

                  They'll be fine.

                  Just be sure they're getting full sun and you mist them daily, feed with tomorite or similar weekly.

                    bit off droop during the hot, breezy day but their doing fine outside in sunny Wigan....i just pop them in the poly-house at night....just waiting for fruit now
