  • Chilli Identity: Help please

I am not sure what chilli this is, I initially thought it was a Red Cherry, but after watching the reaction of someone once they bit into it, i think its something hotter, you cant tell in the picture but they are about just under an inch in length!! I'm such a fool but all my labels have disappeared in water

Do you remember the varieties that you sowed? Or bought?

They look very much like Cherry Bomb/Rodeo F1/Red Cherry - they are all pretty much the same. You can occasionally get some hotter than others... just depends on growing conditions.

I was going to say they look like a cherry type too - they are quite hot and I wouldnt recommend eating any chilli raw.....

I've got the same problem with my amarillo ......when I google image it they don't look the same as what I've grown ...Mine are more like orange mini blosck peppers rather than longish shaped. I think chillies are in cahoots to try and fool us....

From memory I think I started scotch bonnet, cayenne, jalapeņo, satans kiss, Hungarian hot wax, red cherry, and some random seeds that were in a pack I bought in my local cheap shop that I can't remember Zazen!!! That's my problem, although having looked at a few google images I think it probably is a red cherry, just mega hot.... I think you're right binley, they doing it just to make us look fools, oh wait, I do that most days anyway, maybe like they say you can't trust Wikipedia, now you can't trust google images neither, thanks for helping me all
