  • Cabbage White butterfly

    Seen my 1st Cabbage White butterfly today as it fluttered past the g/house.
    Feed the soil, not the plants.
    (helps if you have cluckies)

    Man v Squirrels, pigeons & Ants

    Yup, cabbages will need netting as soon as they go out!

      After a terrible year not protecting my Brassicas last year I was only just considering the problem of hardening off my plants before planting this year. I am all set to build a 'cage' around said plants in my patch but arrrhhh I did not consider the issue of hardening before

        There are a few cabbage white crysalis in my shed. I'm getting better at dispatching most of the beasties I find in my plot but I haven't yet been able to bring myself to do anything about these. Maybe today I will.

                I had cabbage white caterpillars in the gh in January!

                  I seen a brown en flying about yesterday , also sreams from the wife when a great big wasp was buzzing about in the living room! I supose they'll start chewing my fench panels again (well that one wont lol)to make thier nest. atb Dal.
