Having done a quick search on the internet it seems to suggest they are cordon varieties as it says to pinch out the side shoots.

Erm, whats the difference? I've been fortunate enough to have acquired quite a few tomato plants but have no idea what sort they are or how I need to look after them. In previous years, I've always staked them and nipped out the bits between the main stem and side shoots. This seems to have worked but maybe I've been doing it wrong.

It may well be one of those few tomatoes that can be grown as either.

Gerge W was funny, but it's James Cordon for me every time.
