Is anyone growing these? How high do they get if you let them climb up a trellis? What's the flavour like? We've got a tiny garden and I've just seen these for sale and thought I might give them a go next year to save some space.

I was growing one of these very successfully this year until a huge gale got up and snapped the stem at the base and it blew across the lawn, I was gutted. My neighbour is growing them and has started giving them to me as her OH's overseas at the moment and she can't get through them all. They're very tasty.

If they're very tasty then I reckon they're worth a shot, thanks. I'll remember to tie them up though, it gets very windy in our garden at times, we found a plastic cloche 3 gardens down a few months ago!

        Hi
I've got two on the go at the moment, I hadn't grown them before and I thought they'd twine themselves up the supports I'd given them and didn't tie them in so both plants are marching off in opposite direction and growing along the ground much the same as ordinary courgettes as they flower and fruit.
I've also got two lebanese (white) courgettes which I think are the best for flavour. I've eaten 57 so far and reckon I have a world-standard courgette recipe collection...

Have one growing this year, it's a very healthy looking plant that is probably our best producer at the moment (but then again it's in the sunniest position) but I wouldn't really call it a climber. It's a bit spralling but much neater than, say a squash. The fruits are tasty and quick growing (blink and you have a marrow) but no nicer than any of the other standard varieties.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
