  • Anyone grown T&M Mamba French bean

In a previous post last year I said my packet of Mamba failed to germinate, Cobra was OK.
T&M sent a replacmemt packet, but these also failed to appear.
This year I bought a new packet of Mamba and Cobra and sowed them about a week ago in trays in a frame.
Cobra seemed to be appearing but no sign of any Mamba.
I will wait a while longer.

Has anyone had sucess with Mamba?
    Thanks Jimmy
Expect the worst in life and you will probably have under estimated!

I grew them last year. Not brilliant germination but enough for planting up a wigwam, but they only ever got halfway up the poles, and the bottom beans got muddy, might as well have grown a row of dwarf beans!
I know it was a dry year but they were watered as much as the other climbing beans. I've not grown them this year as I wasn't impressed.

      No success !
Only got seven to germinate. Sowed them at the same time as Blauhilde which germinated well. Planted them all out at same time. Mamba did nothing and started to yellow while Blauhilde settled in. Mamba got sicker and sicker and after less than two weeks gave up the ghost. They were thin weedy little things all along.
Very disappointing. Replaced them with Tenderstar which look good and healthy and quickly caught up with the Blauhilde.
