I was sold these as Ailsa Craig. I reckon they are not. What do you guys think? Some are really ugly little spuds, but I couldn't get a good shot of them. Most are much larger and wrinkly than I would have expected.

I suspect not Ailsa Craig either but sometimes when I grow them outside they can take on a less-than-perfectly-round shape!
I always assumed it was because I watered irregularly or because it gets cold at night or even wind!
From your pics I guess they are in a greenhouse and you haven't neglected them?
Who sold you them? Which seed merchant?The proof of the growing is in the eating.

They were bought as seedlings from a local nursery. I think they are the product of a cross pollination last year with a Marmande or suchlike. They are indeed in a gh and are pampered.Comment

Some do, and some don't. That's the strange thing. Even without the wrinkles, I think they are far too big for AC's. One thing is for sure, if they taste ok, they'll get necked.Originally posted by Bigmallly View PostComment
