I went for a stroll with the dog up to the allotment. Didn't really intend on doing much, just needed a bit of brain-downtime. When I got there, I didn't like the look of the old weeds from previous tenants that had grown tall and all their seeds, so ended up pulling them all up and clearing the grow-tunnel (netted, not poly). Two massive piles of weeds to burn next weekend! Felt good to get my fingers in the soil too.
The garlic is growing strong, and so is the rhubarb. It feels a little early for that.

Oh and I pruned a few more trees too. Some are very tall already, apples I'm guessing, and not sure whether to chop them so they're a more manageable height for picking. They have some very low growing branches too, most of which I've lopped off.

Was quite mild today 9c so wandered down the plot.
    Filled gaps with new garlic.
Pulled out lower leaves of PSB and cabbages.
    Weeded PSB and garlic.
Dug over a small section. Cleared dandelion roots, horsetail and bindweed. Hurray
No harvesting today but gave some kale away yesterday.
Planted bulbs in the garden and on plot.

Weeded out one bed. Cleared some ivy and bagged up tree prunings for the fire. Had coffee with my neighbour
