  • 2018 Tromba Competition

Tromba, Tromboncino, Trombone - and other similar names for a funny shaped squash that is guaranteed to make you smile.

I'd like to start a little competition, open to all, to grow the most outstanding Tromba 2018.

Entries will close about the same time as the Virtual Show and there will be a Poll to decide on who has grown the Funniest, Amusing, Ridiculous Tromba of 2018. (Yes, I know what the initials spell).

Here's some back ground info from one retailer - Others suppliers are available - try Franchi.

What is a Tromboncino? - Suttons Gardening Grow How

    Expression of interest are invited.

I might have a go if my seeds aren't too old.

Are we having an official sowing date VC? Or have you already started
I'm hoping my Tromboncino do better than last year or I'll be winning the "did you even try section" . I didn't even get one big enough to eat last year .
I'm blaming the weather because obviously it's nothing to do with my lack of talent

I haven't sown mine yet - in fact I haven't found my seeds yet - but I'm sure I have some somewhere!
Last year, I had one Tromboncino and about 3 courgettes - that was it. Hoping for better this year too.
No official start date - just post our progress perhaps?

You were going to grow them anyway, don't try to tell me otherwise 'cos I won't believe you.

                          Now about the Luffas
