  • when is the best time to put up greenhouse?

last week I opened the box and put all the contents out to start puting it up. shorter daylight and cold weather pushing the task to less priority.so moving it to spring or early summer task. so if you bought the kit later in summer, when did you assemble your greenhouse comfortiably?

I am just about to assembly a new one over the plot, i want it ready for the spring so what better time. The down side to this time of year is the rubber glazing bead. I just stick itup my jumper so it is more pliable.

I think your cold fingers will decide for you.

I put up my first greenhouse during the month of March, my more recent one last January.

      (8 years apart).

The frame can go up anytime. Glazeing is best done when you can (a) feel your hands, for safety. (b) finish all the glass on a single day. A part glazed structure is liable to act as a sail so it's better to do all or at least the whole roof and not sides so wind can't get trapped and undo all your efforts. You never know for sure what tomorrows weather might bring!

To get a full season no later than late March - that is fully ready to Rock and Roll.
