Just been offered a green house, but not sure whats sort of base it needs. As i am just starting my vegetable garden this year, my garden is mainly all grass.

If it's an aluminium framed greenhouse, you have a choice of bases. You could lay a concrete foundation and use hammer fixings to attach it the concrete, or you could lay it on a wooden frame - this is what I did - I used 4" x 4" treated larch (that I just happened to have lying about
) and then fixed greenhouse to this with large woodscrews and filled the base with gravel chips. You could also buy a purpose made aluminium base for whatever size your greenhouse is.
