  • taking water into polytunnel - advice sought

I have an outside tap next to the polytunnel. I do however use it for the greenhouse and do not want it permanently connected. I thought of taking a spur off the green hose to the tap. I cannot find the strong hose used in the "outside tap kit". Nor can I find the fittings for the plastic hose used by farmers.

Surely this has been solved by someone. I only need 4m to get inside the polytunnel then I can put a tap on it with the automatic watering unit from hozelock.

    No hosepipe ban in Scotland!

Buy some 15mm plastic pipe as used by plumbers. Its sold by B&Q and the like and you can buy push fit fittings from there as well to suit.

You must have something like Midland shires farmers in Caithness. Try the atlantic supastore website they may have what you need.
