  • Silver / Greeen price difference

This may be really daft question but why are green green houses more expensive than silver ones. Is it due to being more asthetically pleasing or do they have further protection to frame.
Not sure I can justify £50 more for green colour. I can think of many other things to spend the extra momey on.

i think a lot of it is down to the 'look' of it; although they claim it gives the frame more protection, I have never seen a rotten aluminium greenhouse frame And the galvanised ones should last a long time if looked after properly, never seen a rotten one of those either!

Simple answer is that the green ones have coats of paint added whereas the 'silver' ones are just bare aluminum.

If you got a quote from a local painter for painting bare aluminium frame first of all with an etched primer (required for aluminium) and then a green gloss topcoat I bet you wouldn't get any change from 50 squid!

A bit puzzled why no one has got around to marketing anodised finish aluminium greenhouses, Gold GH anyone?
Always thank people who have helped you immediately, as they may not be around to thank later.
