  • Seedling cloches any good?

I was in my local GC and noticed they've got a couple of seedling cloches reduced to £5 that look the same as this one https://www.gardman.co.uk/seedling-cloche.html

Are they any good? I'm worred it might blow away like the upright greenhouses and have heard many 'horror stories' about them.

I thought they might be a good way of getting an early harvest and would also help free up my greenhouse early in the season as it tends to get a bit overcrowded.

    Thanks in advance

If they are like the ones in the picture they are worth it, but they do act like kites in the same way as blow a way greenhouses, I bought one and the frame gave up and the plastic joint broke, I ended up using the skin over blue water pipe hoops and used sand filled milk bottles (soft Bricks) to hold it down

Definitely worth a punt at £5!

Thanks Cadalot, that's what I was worried about. I do have that blue plastic tubing but didn't like the appearance of it in my garden (I don't have an allotment). Oh, and I also have some green bendy tubes I bought from Gardening Naturally that I used with netting to keep cats off but I didn't like the netting I bought as it got snagged and ripped. I have a feeling I might be better off with the green tubes and maybe get some plastic or fleece to go over the top.
