  • Poly tunnel plastic piping?

Fancy building a DIY polytunnel and wondered where I could get the blue or yellow pipe with an approximate 2 inch inside diameter?

Loads of polytunnels on our allotment site but it appears most of the pipe was begged, stole or borrowed from any water or gas works that were taking place in the area.
Another problem would be transport as even though I only need four hoops it doesn't look like it will roll up small enough to transport?

if you find out snadger, let me know. I e-mailed a manufacturer and they didn't even bother to reply (and that was using my works e-mail address and we use a lot of gas pipe )

i have a mate who works for an irrigation company that caters for golf courses, landscapers etc. shame you are so far away from me as he can get offcuts 10-15ft quite regularly. may be worth giving a more local one a call

The blue stuff you can get from The Plumb Center, this is a national plumbing wholesaler that will sell to Joe public.

For the 50mm internal diameter pipe Snadger, do try BSS, thay are industrial plumbing merchants and will have that size on the shlef. If you are using scaffolding pipes as the downrights for the pipe to go over, the first leg will go over quite well with a bit of wriggling but the second leg will need lot of grease or similar as lubrication.
