    Default Ikea Vaxer grow light

Iím wondering if anyone has used this and what they think of it?

Iím a little behind on late summer sowing, and wanted to experiment with early sowings next year, and this seems like a cheap option - just wondering if anyone has used and can review? Thanks in advance!

I have the ikea grow light but i use it on top of my Garland 7 propagator (precariously balanced) not the ikea one. It's ok for the seedling stage but it doesn't cover a very big area so it's quite limited. I have Secret Jardin lights for growing on.

Thanks Veggiechicken, I was hoping for some feedback on the light, if anyone had used it before as the other set ups seems to be hydroponics kit with other light sources. I’m researching grow lights and there’s a whole plethora of specification that you can get and just wondered if one was more a requirement than the other.

    Thanks Mitzi!
What do you recommend it or do you think a larger one (better spec?) would be better? I’m really just hoping to use it with my normal propogator to start off seedlings in late summer and later winter, to give them a head start for overwinter growing outside/in greenhouse, rather than for use to grow crops inside.

Just for starting off seedlings, for example, now or next month because I’ve left direct sowing of oriental veg too late, or spring cabbage for overwintering...etc.

I don't think its too late to start these now. I haven't sown any yet!. The days are still quite long so I don't think lights are needed.
