  • Greenhouse staging

I have been given some staging, but there are no trays with it, does it take the flimsy plastic trays as the ridged trays I have don’t seem to fit?

I’ve got that...or something very similar! I had the same trouble as you are having. Not all of the trays have the same shape - it’s a bit of trial and error.

Other option short term is to put in couple boards to form a shelf.

I do have a tray with that design in the bottom. It is a ridged one and it is a slightly different shape to everything else I have. I didn't realise it came from staging. I'll have a look at my tray later see if it has any useful info on it that might help you.

I use similar staging in my GH I use both seed trays and wooden shelves that are handy for individual pots and smaller items.

Just had a look at the tray. No info on it at all. I did notice the lip of the tray is slightly larger and the sides shamfer ( don't know how to spell that sorry ). Slant in like a flower pot but only slightly.

Well now I'm very impressed with myself! Only one letter out .
That annoying American man that lives in my iPad wanted me to spell it shamfor when I ask his advice. Even I know that was wrong.

You could get some cheap slate lathes 35mm x 2omm and form a shelf then you can put any size tray on that.
My timber yard supplier sells these cheap approx 30/40p per mtr cut to size if you flutter your eyelids,

Thanks for the help, everyone, managed to find some and they just about fit, bit tight but should be ok, will definitely be looking into the shelf idea as well

Do you not have any of the mesh type sheets which you commonly find in the PVC cover mini greenhouses that fit it? We seem to have an abundance of these on our site (god knows where the greenhouses have gone down the years!) But they are handy for throwing together a shelf in the greenhouse
