Gettign fed up fo trying to find it on the web and getting directed to bloomin directory listings which bear no resemblance to my search! Thought I'd pick some local brains..

    cheers

Hi I'm in Hasland. My OH got some glass for my greenhouse from Grassmoor Glass on Storforth Lane Trading Estate. Don't think it's specifically for a greenhouse though, just ordinary glass. You could ring and ask on 01246 233100.

You can usually get greenhouse glass from any glasier. Just have a look in your local yellow pages and let your fingers do the walking!

Hi nomad You probably wouldn't recognise it now, all the heavy industry has gone from the town now, all shops and office workers. Lots of flats have been built on the old site where Bryan Donkins and the Tube Works used to be. The town market is not a patch on what it used to be, but the Crooked Spire is still standing though We have some nice garden centres worth taking a look at next time you're back.

Thanks for the replies folks, will try grassmoor glass.. was starting to get desperate and thinking of looking on ebay for another greenhouse to take bits of glass from.. the thought of cutting it myself fills me with dread!

Chesterfield has certainly changed, but we've got a good supply of garden places (focus, homebase, b&que) not to mentions the lidls, aldis, wilkos and poundstretchers which all do good offers from time to time.

Just a shame that the chains don't do replacement glass, still it'll be nice to support a small local business rather than a big corporation.
