  • Greenhouse Accidents

I've now had two accidents inside the greenhouse. The latest was when arriving home from work tonight i noticed the temperature had dropped so went to the greenhouse to bring in the not so hardy seedlings. Using my phone light as a torch i picked up the blue plastic container holding the seedlings and felt my phone slip out of my hand. As it did the light became blocked and so i couldn't see, as i tried to stop it from falling i must have caught the container on something and in slow motion it went over After cleaning it all out on Tuesday its a mess everywhere. I've managed to save most of the seedlings in limited compost and will fix them up in the morning.

Anyone else had these sort of accidents in the greenhouse or am i just being clumsy lol

Meh - it just sorts the harder seedlings out from the weaker ones. Happens all the time.

I had so many seedlings one year that I rigged a board up between the staging to put the extra trays on, and then stumbled over my own feet, leant on it, and sent [I think it was] 4 trays of tomato seedlings crashing to the floor. Believe me, the air was blue for a good 10 minutes afterwards... Managed to save most of them, but had no idea what any of them were

I always seem to manage to hit my head on the handle for the top vent in the roof. I wear a cap all the time and don't see it because of the peak of the cap - last time was Tuesday and even with the cap managed to scrape a longish piece of skin off!!!

Mine has a little trip-you-up step at the door. I was asked if I wanted full length doors, but it was extra so I said no.
It must trip me up twice a week easy
