  • Covering raised beds for autumn/winter/spring

    Hi All,

My first post here (I think) ...

I have 2 raised beds each approx 1.8x2m square in our small garden (while I wait on a couple of lists for an allotment). At the moment filled with chillis & tomatoes & carrots amongst other things but they will be coming to an end in the coming weeks....

I want to get all-year-round use from the beds. So I was wondering if either a cold-frame "lid" or mini-poly-tunnel be a good idea? (with option to revert back to just the raised bed in summer).

If so, which would be better and what's the best veg I could get going ? (I already have a tray of cabbages starting).

Having a go at building either wouldn't be an issue - in fact a fun challenge

    thanks in advance!
