I haven't got a box, but if I did then I'd make sure it was nice and trimmed! Sorry! couldn't resist it! Bank holiday fever and all that! LOL! Bernie

Traps the females as they go to lay eggs in the apple tree, which, unless they are stopped, the eggs metamorphose into larvae & munch on the fruit. Ta da!!

Sheds, you're a 'great starter of threads', and I hope you'll be continuing your theme here Angel, with a What to Do in June, and July and.... etc. Huge Respect Girlie...X

May, in my humble opinion, is a good month to start off BASIL from seed, and if you're not that clever, buy a healthy, sturdy plant from a supermarket, cut each stem off at the ankles, stick them in a glass of water, and within a matter of weeks, they will send out roots, so you can then pot them up in a pot of compost, and Bob's your Auntie.
And that's the easiest way to propogate Basil, if you don't want to do it from seed.

I'm not sure that doesnt sound a tad painful?? My OH is a cricketer, does his box need to be trimmed too now, right at the start of the season?
Life may not be the party we hoped for but since we're here we might as well dance

moggssue I think it will probably need a little extra stiffening by the end of the season. Trimming his box may cause untold damage if it receives abuse during the summer months..... :-)
