  • Cashback Sites

I became a member of Quidco a while back, before I started planning my garden. I haven't checked out any of the other cash back sites but I've just popped back on there and realised that there are a huge number of merchants that sell gardening related things offering cash back.

    People like...

Unwins - 10% on online sales
Best 4 Plants - 10% on online sales
Dobies - 8% on online sales
    B&Q - 6% on online sales
Suttons - 5% on online sales
Wilkinson - 4% on online sales

Now it's not necessarily a fortune but if you're planning on buying from any of the merchants anyway you might as well get a little bit of cash back to spend on more gardening goodies (or something else if you really want! )

I got my lawn mower through R Points. Can't remember how much I got off.

Very easy. No con. I've had nearly £690 back over the past 2 years - mainly thru buying insurance (car/house) via quidco.

Couldn't agree more! I found it very easy to set up and easy to use. When I first joined the site a joined one of the sub groups ('clans') that specialised in getting cash back for nothing (i.e. 30 day trials, free quotes for insurance etc.) and got £70 for the first two moths I was a member just for doing things like trial DVD rental packages and the like!

It's slowed down for me now as the number of merchants offering that kind of thing has dropped off a bit and you can only do each one once but it's still a good way to get a bit of cash back on things I was going to buy anyway.

I still shop around online to find the best prices but if it turns out to be one of those merchants I'm there!

I use "Top cashback" and get discounts from peole like Dobies, Suttons, Crocus, Wilkinsons for gardening stuff and lots of other things as well.

The trick is to search the net for the cheapest deal and then check if that merchant is on the top cashback site. I've used it for hotel bookings, holiday car rental, car insurance etc as well as gardening stuff and get £20/£30 a month cashback paid into my bank account!
