Get a pallet, screw a good size screw into the base at each corner, turn upright and you've got an anti-slug fortress for a grow bag with courgettes or strawberrys. It also encourages you to keep the strawberry runners under control, cos the blighters will be up them in a shot.

There's a big trade/diy building supply outlet near me called TradeDepot. I know they let people have old pallets, may be if you ask your local Jewsons or B&Q, they might too.
I forgot to mention that the nail/screw thing only really works well on solid surfaces. I really hope that was obvious to everyone who read it
