  • Sow a Seed a Day for a year - Challenge :)

Scratch that itch by sowing a seed a day - every day.

There's always something that can be sown even if its just cress in a pot indoors.
No need to sow a packetful at a time, just a pinch will do, even one seed as long as its every day.

Veg or flowers, we don't mind.

Of course you can do it - no excuses. Join me and play with seeds every day.

    PS I'm starting tomorrow.

Sown 2 packets of Sweet peas (sow by 2015 ).
50 seeds in 12 modules (that's 4 in each, not 50 in each!).

Seed of the Day - Purple Choy Sum/Hon Tsai Tai. (No, I don't know what its like either )
Described as "Early flowering purple oriental leaf salad with pencil-thin purple flower stalks decorative enough to grow as an ornamental in the flower border.
Sow from spring to autumn outside or right through winter in mild climates or under protection. Sounds good to me!

A pinch sown in the GH bed where the other seeds with funny names will be growing.

... which basically is confirmed strawbs, red and yellow onion, sweet peas and celery. Then also scrapings of the seed box - peas and suspected beetroot

Edit: My calculations were wrong... that's nine types! LOL

When de-podding some beans there were 2 beans that had started to germinate inside the pods - so I planted those today in a little red flower pot.
( The fact that its red is immaterial - but it will remind me what seeds are in it - as they're not labelled )
