  • Pickling Walnuts

    I have been given access to a huge number of green walnuts and want to pickle them. However we go away very soon and all the recipes I have seen suggest soaking in brine for a week, then soaking for a further week in new brine. Does anyone know what the impact would be if I were to brine them for 11 days instead? Is the brining time length critical? Thanks in advance.

    It's like most pickles, so many variants. Wikipedia says 10 days.

    Wear gloves, I found they stained badly, you'll end up like a reject from Strictly!
