Just remind me why I grow these????
I've just picked 2 lbs and other than freeze them I'm not sure quite what to do with them.
Last year I mixed them in with fruit puddings, but it did seem a bit of a waste.
Any ideas, or are they really just for decoration??

I grow a single bush of white versailles whitecurrants because I love em!

Raspberies are my favourite soft fruit, closely followed by whitecurrants!

They never go further than the allotment though as I love them freshly picked al fresco.
If I have a good crop next year I might take a few home and make some whitecurrant jelly with them. Sounds good to me!

PS As they are like mini grapes I bet they would make a wonderful wine or champagne!

Crush them and add brandy and a little sugar. Leave and shake daily till sugar all dissolved. Strain out fruit. Eat with cream or yoghurt. Bottle the liquor. Fruit brandies are gorgeous.

Strange flavour in my view.....tart and.......?????can't think of what to compare them to!
Like the idea of champagne/light wine though too as the fruit do look so delicate!
