Dividing rhubarb

Is it too late to divide the rhubarb starting to come through in my garden? Thanks.

Quite late but if you are going to do it I would get on and do it soonish. Presumably it is only just shooting so I think you'd be ok.

Ok. I was thinking of just putting the spade through an outer piece and replanting this part rather than digging up the whole plant at this stage. Any thoughts on that. Cheers.

I think you'll be fine. Hope your spade is sharp, they are tough old things! Least the one I split a while ago was.
