  • Pak Choi with little tiny pin holes

Can anyone help me I planted Pak Choi seeds and Curly Kale and they baby leaves are covered with small cream like pin holes some of the holes are not all the way through the leaf. Do I have to disregard them now as they do not look very edible or is there anything I can do to hope any new leaves will not be blighted too? Kind regards Denise

Flea beetles. They have been a menace this season round our way.

The books say they like dry soil, so you may be able to deter them by keeping the soil damp.

If you can keep the pests away (damp will attract slugs to finish the job off!) the plants may well recover.

Here's a link to the RHS page on flea beetles.
