  • Golden Beetroot

I am putting together my seed list and fancy trying golden beetroot. The two types that seem to get a lot of mention are are burpees golden and golden detroit.

Anyone tried these? or have any other suggestions.

I hear golden ones have a low germination rate too - if you can share any experience of this would be interested to know.

    thanks

I've had both, and both were fine germination wise for me..

There's a packet of burpees golden (opened) in the virtual seed parcel if you have a packet to swap for it? Check the seed swap forum for more info - be worth a try before you buy if you're not sure?

I love Burpees Golden [and all Yellow Beetroots], but you might find that the germination rate is worse as less people grow it and so it sits on shelves and in storage longer.
