  • Stoopid question chillies

    Can you grow chillies from fresh seed scrapped out of chillies.
    The Thai girl on the stall next to mine gave me some green and red chillies she gets from thailand. They're about 2 in long, pointed and nice!
    Just wondered if I could grow some on? Or as theyre imports should I not even if I can..if you follow my drift.

    Yes you can.

    EDIT: But as you hinted at, there is the risk associated with growing imported plants.

      Yeah no worries, we tried to grow some a couple of years ago out of chillis from the supermarket. Unfortunatly we didn't keep them warm enough and they didn't flower but our neighbour had great success !
