  • Plums with worms

This year my plums were infested with little white worms. I have bought some greasebands but it says on the box they should be put on in autumn. Does that mean I am already too late? Is there anything else I should be doing to get rid of these. I have taken all the old fruit off the trees but I have read that I shouldn't prune till spring. Will pruning help or just make things worse?

Please help I am really missing my plm jam this year!!!

should b ok to put grease bands on now. I had lots of little white worms in the centre of my apples this year. i was told it was codling moth grubs. if this is true the female climbs the tree bout march time to lay her eggs in the fruit. She cant fly.(do plums get plagued with codling moths too or is it only apples?) the male moth flies so a trap hung up near to the trees is reccommended too.
