    Default Tobacco Seeds

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum so thought I'd say hello and find out if there are any other tobacco growers out there? I will have some fresh seed available fairly soon if anyone is interested?

I lived in Ontario Canada for a few years in the nineties. They claimed to grow the best tobacco in the world there! It was a declining industry then but the whole areas wealth was borne from tobacco.

Interestingly they were moving over to ginseng!

Anyway.....I don't think we have the climate to grow tobacco here!

Good luck.......but I won't be trying growing tobacco or doing anything else with it either!

    Loving my allotment!

Interestingly, "Tobacco plants generally require full to partial shade to grow properly"

Don't the plants poison the soil for growing any else afterwards?

nope .... big companies that sell flower and veg seeds also sell nicotania seeds as flowering plants .... they;re just plants with flowers .... except you can dry the leaves, dry them, cure them, smoke them ....

It was just something lurking at the back of my mind! Its many years since I've thought about growing tobacco - and even then it was purely hypothetical.
