  • Seed Circle 6 Tomato Treat 2011-2012

    Here goes

This is a general swap circle for tomatoes.

The rules will be roughly that of the other circles, but can be changed by majority vote.
the circle is open to 16 members.

Participants to get their seeds to me by December 1st 2011, or by prior arrangement if there is a problem. people who fail to meet the above will have to be excluded.

Please say what kind of tomato you will be saving when you register, this can obviously change, but please try to do something no-one else is doing.

    Participants are:

Rx1. Davy Burns - Red Zebra and Black Truffle
Rx2. Zazen999 - Piglet Willie's French Black Tomato, and whichever one I get from my HSL selection
Rx3. Sylvan - Piccolo and Principe Borghese.
Rx4. Frostyfreckle - Striped Red Boar and perhaps Galapagos Island tomato
    Rx5. Wollyanna - Mortgage Lifter - Nepal
    x6. Gillian62 - Blondkopfchen & Riensentraube
    7. Burnzie - Bloody Butcher I've also got a yellow tomato that I used to grow showing almost 20 years ago. I still save it every year as I find it superior to more common yellows, and thinner skinned. Its a strong grower and heavy fruiter. No idea what its name is though
    Rx8. Gearoid - Purple Cherokee
    9. Dane End Dolly - TBA
Rx10. Taff - Brads Black Heart and an unknown giant plum variety, and probably green velvet
    11. Liza - Tom berry.(on the vine show) Sorry only one at the mo will try to add a second variety
Rx13. Sbeneli - Snow White and Sweet Pea Currant,
    14. coreopsis - Cavendish and Eva Purple Ball
Rx15. Gan Heather - MilleFleur and German Lunchbox.
Rx16. Leeds_Lad - Polish Linguisa, Golden Sunrise and Minibell

Is there a teeny, wee space for me? How about Striped Red Boar and perhaps Galapagos Island tomato (not the yellow one promised on another seed saving circle but a red GI cherry tomato)

I've just had a quick peak at alternatives - Zapotec (lovely looking and very tasty) and from the original seed saving circle Bloody Butcher and Aunt Madges tom (both get fab reviews).

Would like to be added to the list not sure which 2 varieties yet but have quite a few. I can garuantee one won't be Gardeners Delight although it does seem to be a favourite with a lot of people

Not a problem! it was just that I thought if we could give our selection at the outset, it may stop duplicates

                        Your in at No 6
