  • Polish parsley!

My neighbour has a patch of this which has become naturalised in her garden, left by the Polish family who had the house before her - and I have harvested some of the seeds. This parsley is a flat leaved variety but finer cut leaves and not as tough as the normal flat leaf parsley - it has a gentle flavour. If anyone wants some seeds to try, do pm me!

A bit more investigation has revealed that the person who planted the parsley was Asian not Polish so I am not sure what variety it is - however it is a gorgeous parsley. I have just done a germination test on some of the seeds and it has started sprouting in 7 days Now I forget who I promised this to (sorry ) so do let me know if you are still interested.

Just come across your polish parsley (is it called Pledge or Mr. Sheen???). Do you have a few left to spare as I would love to try some!! Anything you would like in exchange, or would you prefer postage??

PM me Torreya with your details. It is a good strain of parsley so well worth trying out.

OK folks there is just the one packet of seed left having accounted for all the 'promised' ones... so form an orderly queue here!

I just came on here J to search for this thread and to say thanks for the seeds and lo and behold - here it is.

So, thanks again for the seeds - and as you have done a germ test I'm going to sow some this week and grow it indoors for the winter.

That's what I'm going to do with the test seeds, Zaz. I only tried a pinch of them and I reckon they will be lovely diddy plants for the festive season!
