  • Parsnips!

I've saved my own parsnip seeds for about 6 years in a row, shared the bounty out amongst my neighbours on the allotments, and always have tons left.

The variety started out as Tender and True, I always save seed from the largest topped parsnips in the row (usually 3 plants) and I garden organically.

My experience with the seeds are that they are, unlike commercial seeds, very quick to germinate and very fertile (viable).

I have two long rows this year from the seeds and the crop looks very good.

If anyone wants some, I'm willing to swap for peas, or simply send me some stamps and I'll post them to you

Hi and welcome to the forum, can I draw your attention to the rules regarding seed swaps/ SAE requests listed above.
Due to problems in the past and also to be mindful of data protection legislation, everyone has to be mindful when participating in online transactions.
Once you have been a member for the required 3 month period and been part of this community you can join in the seed swaps.
