He he, I wouldn't quite word it as free for all Basically save seed of two varieties of veg, herb or fruit (no flowers there is another circle for those) enough of each so everyone gets a packet of each - so 10 peeps would be 9 packs of each variety (you don't get your own seed ). Send the seeds to me sometime after October with your name, address and stamps for return seeds. Here was the last circles share out https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...cel_98166.html

If you are happy with all that you are welcome to join

Sounds fab I was in the chilli circle last year was my first year saving seeds and now feeling more confident about seed saving this year! I presume that the same rules apply about no common plants etc and how would I know how common they are? Yes if you’ll have me I’ll join in!

Added . Common varieties are fine - fresh seed is fresh seed, but I think it is safe to say moneymaker toms are banned and no seeds from F1 varieties unless there is good reason and you highlight it everywhere . Any questions at any point just say - some things are easier to save seed from than others. (Isolation etc.)

I can absolutely do that! How much of each seed should I be looking to include? And if I don't have very many can I send alternatives of something else, say another variety?

As a guide peas, beans, toms, squash and peppers around 10 seeds per pack, lettuce, brassicas, grains just a pinch. The idea is so people get to try something new and save their own if they like it. You are always welcome to send alternatives or extras. The two varieties are a guide and despite me already naming mine I doubt a single one will make the parcel as things seldom go to plan. The main thing is don't panic and if things go wrong keep us in the loop peeps might be able to give some advice.

I don't "name" any seeds for months. Don't even know what I'm growing yet.
    Don't worry, there's no pressure .
