I've been busy saving seeds from nasturtiums, marigolds and have plenty to share round. Starting to save my sweet pea (old spice) and pink surprise calendula. I have also grown chrysanthemums and zinnias which have started flowering but it may be too late to harvest seeds when they are done? It's the first year I have planted so many varieties so I'm chuffed. Also sunflowers, one has bloomed, one is blooming and one more is reaching for the sky

I think SP has already bagged up saved Marigolds. So maybe best to stick with nasturtiums and something else?

Oh sorry SP I clearly haven't been following the thread very well. Yes of course! There is still time to save more seeds, it might be the sweet peas then.

We all do that but it's a pain when we've all saved the same thing!

I often go to friends for dinner - myself and another good friend are usually asked to bring pudding. We now check cos invariably we brought the same thing! One even it was lemon meringue tart!! What are the chances of that?

Hoping to have celosia “prairie feather” , ageratum “high tide” and purple and white cleome.
How many seeds are we supposed to put in each packet - because I won’t have loads of celosia.

Re the cleomes - they make a good long lasting cut flower, but a lot of people don’t like their fragrance.
    Personally I quite like it.
    Also ..... caterpillars love them.
I’ve just been out picking off caterpillars to rehome, lost my balance and went head over heels in the middle of the patch.
Hence the little bunch of flattened ones that I’ve just picked!
Incidentally what sort of butterflies will these turn in to???
