    Hi Mark - I have no idea but unlike when I saved the Crimson Crush seeds from the original plant on release I didn't get two very different looking plants. One potato leaf and the other the more traditional tomato leaf in the first year. All I do know is that the plant was actually more prolific from the saved seeds than it was from the original purchased seeds.

    I suppose there are a number of options:

    1. You did have different plants (reverting back to the parents) but the differences weren't enough to notice (unlike Crimson Crush);
    2. You only grew out one parent (unlikely I admit);
    3. Its a stable cross (after all, the only difference between F1 and Open Pollinated is that Open Pollinated are more stable).

    I'll try growing them and see what I get.

    Sorry didn't know where best to post. Just to let you know the atkins stuffing tom (vsp clearout/ bonus seeds) look to be a no go I had the 2011 seed, hopefully someone has some of the fresher seed and can replenish stocks. I remember this being a lovely tom which was just as it's name says a 'stuffing' tomato. Be a shame to lose it.
