May I pop in too please?

I have Bosque Bumblebee (loads of 'em!!) if NG isn't putting them in herself, and Kenilworth King/Saint (never sure which it is!) George which I love for being so reliable - thank you whoever put this in a couple of years back, it's brilliant. I also have Red Zebra, originally from MarkPelican and is a massive favourite of mine, so thanks for that too!

I only have just over half of what MarkPelican has accumulated but I'm always happy to add more to the seed bank, I try to rotate them to keep a current-ish viable seed that will germinate. I have found some that I will never grow again and have ditched them from the collection. The Last Audit from last year is here Alans Allotment: In My Seed Box - Tomatoes

That’s so generous it is available....but
we haven’t had as much interest in the VSP lately. It’s more often new growers and not seed savers that request seeds. Seed savers send in huge amounts as they eventually get overloaded Also most of us that save seed generally join the circles. Last year I sent off extra seeds to some that were interested in growing on so we had some fresh seed available. That may be an option?

I’m willing to add extras to the seedswap, but fear all I will do is oveload the swap with even more seeds that people don’t have room to grow.

I was trying to think of a way of getting seeds to people who haven’t tried the variety of heritage/open pollinated varieties available who would like to.

Those in the swap are probably like me and already tried more than the “standard” varieties available in the shops.

Part of me would like to get involved with growing new varieties but the problem is that I don't have anything interesting to offer. I'm only growing moneymaker, gardener's delight and rosella. I'm also growing some dwarf cherries but I saved them from either Balconi Red or Vilma and got them mixed up so that's obviously not much use.

    The Tomato Seed Circle 2018-tomato-spotting.jpg

I grow 22 in flower buckets in the back garden, next year there will be six in beds on the allotment and two greenhouses on the allotment and the Spacesaver Greenhouse with dwarf tomato plants. Come winter I will select from my list those standards that I do every year and the remainder of the outdoors toms will come from my stash to update my seed bank and new tomato varieties that I have not grown before.

Ive bumped the vsp....see if we get some interest over the next few weeks. IT would be lovely to get some more growers to save and share.
